I am deeply honoured to serve as an ambassador for the Simurgh Academy. Too often the immense talent and resilience of refugees remain overlooked and under-used. Drawing on my years of work in human rights in a international and national context, I have seen how vital it is to unlock this potential—something the Simurgh Academy does brilliantly, sparking encounters and development, searching to refine the inner compass, driving positive change, as a result to build lasting peace and security across the region.

Experienced and principled leader with a strong track record in both the business world and the social sector with a focus on human rights. She founded her own enterprise, was working for an employers organization, served on a university executive board and directed NGO’s combating human trafficking and promoting human rights. Nowadays she is involved in various advisory and supervisory positions. With her broad expertise and a well-known reputation for integrity as a whistle-blower (intercountry adoption), she brings strategic vision, inclusive leadership and a deep commitment to empowering people and driving positive change.
